Future Self Now

One to one · three months

The wisest guidance you’ll ever get comes from your Future Self.

Three months, just the two of us. It begins with you meeting your Future Self — the part of you that already knows your greatness. From there, we work with them to rediscover what matters most: wholeheartedness, integrity, curiosity and play.

I’ve been coaching for 27 years, with Future Self Now at the heart of it for nearly 20. I work with chief executives, founders and board directors — many of them creative, innovative and intuitive at heart — and with people facing a big decision or a new chapter.

Watch · 45 seconds

The side of you that already knows.

A place to hear yourself say it

On the outside, life is mostly working. On the inside, something’s stirring.

Most of the people I work with are doing well by anyone else’s measure. That’s part of the difficulty. When you look like you’re on top of it all, people assume you are, and they stop asking.

So you’re left with a nagging sense that something’s missing, and no one to talk to about it. At least, no one who meets you at your deepest level of knowing. Somewhere inside, you know what you truly want. But it’s hard to put into words, let alone untangle how to line your life up with it.

You don’t need more advice. What helps is a place to hear yourself say it, with someone who knows how to get you there.

What’s included

Seven sessions over three months, and the freedom to message me in between.

We book everything at the start to fit your schedule, and if life gets in the way, we can move things around.

  1. First

    Your Future Self session

Ninety minutes. I guide you, and there’s nothing to prepare. Most people recognise their Future Self straight away, and are deeply moved. It’s a turning point. Afterwards I write it all up for you: what your Future Self said, what they showed you, and how they got there.

  2. Then

    Six sessions, fortnightly

Seventy-five minutes each, just the two of us, online or by phone. A fortnight is close enough to keep hold of what’s unfolding, and long enough for life to happen in between.

  3. Throughout

    Messages, any time

You don’t have to wait a fortnight to talk something through. Send me a WhatsApp message or voice note whenever you like — to ask a question, celebrate a win, or untangle something that’s come up. I’ll reply personally, usually within a day.

  4. To keep

    A recording and a record

Your Future Self session, recorded, with the written account and the meditations I make for members. People come back to these years later, which is the point. This is a relationship, not a one-off.

  5. Included

    The community, while we work

A Festival Pass to the Future Self Now community for our three months together. You can join the live calls, work through the self-paced course and meet like-minded members. Some clients are in there all the time, and some never open it. Both are fine.

  6. If it matters

    In the same room

Some moments call for being there in person — a big decision, a launch, a new beginning. I’m happy to travel when we both feel it’s worth it. Travel is costed separately.

Three months is where we begin. Afterwards, plenty of people carry on with a programme tailored to them, some for years. We’ll talk about that near the end, once you know what it means to you.

How it tends to go

Meet them, then let them lead.

  1. Week one

    The meeting

You meet your Future Self. It feels like recognition rather than invention — more like remembering than imagining. Then we spend time with what they said, which is always kind, always encouraging, always expansive.

  2. Weeks two to eight

    The letting go

This is where the real work happens, and it’s mostly about what you’re ready to put down: control, proving, performing, being the one who holds it all together. I’ll tell you what I see. Gently, but I’ll say it.

  3. Weeks nine to twelve

    The living

Living it every day, without me there. What would my Future Self do here? becomes a habit, and it cuts through the doubt, the second-guessing and any question of whether you deserve it. This is who you really are, and you’re meant to live it.

Is this for you?

It’s likely to fit if

  • You’re restless, and you know there’s more out there for you.
  • Your life works on the outside, but you’re tired of conforming.
  • You’d rather be accompanied than advised.
  • You can give it 75 minutes a fortnight, and you’re more than ready for change.
  • You’re a little sceptical — that’s healthy — but you’re also an explorer, open to new answers. After all, the familiar solutions just aren’t working any more.

It might not be for you if

  • You’re looking for a consultant with a slide deck, or a strategy for your business rather than for you.
  • You want someone to tell you what to do. Here, the only guru is your Future Self — your own inner wisdom.
  • You’re in crisis, or looking for therapy. This work looks forward rather than back, so your GP or a qualified therapist is the right first step.

People who have done this

In their own words.

“Theresa gives invaluable and practical insight into understanding personal and professional motivation, and has helped position my experience and drive for a new direction. I’ve really valued her candid and expert counsel.”
Steve Kingshott
Non-executive director and adviser; former insurance CEO
“Over the last 15 years, I’ve worked with some truly incredible coaches, sponsors, teachers, even gurus. Theresa is right up there with the very best of them. Her Future Self Now work has given me frameworks not just to cope, but to thrive during times of uncertainty.”
Simon Cusden
Executive coach; former professional athlete
“As a former coach and counsellor, I didn’t think that coaching from a new colleague would help me much. It is more clear now than ever that all coaches’ approaches are not the same.”
Alan Raw
Director, Association of Sustainability Practitioners; former BBC presenter
“My Future Self showed me things I definitely needed to see, and by all means I had no idea it was something I even thought to wish for myself. Fast forward 4 years from that session and 4 out of 5 major changes I saw have come true.”
Juliana Lax
Psychologist; co-founder and CEO, GivingBack Films

Who you’d be working with

I’m Theresa. Most people call me T.

I’ve been coaching for 27 years. I created Future Self Now nearly twenty years ago, and I’ve been deepening it ever since, with people all over the world.

What I see again and again is that the work goes beneath the analytical mind and reaches a felt sense of knowing. That’s why it moves people — it’s finally an opportunity to come home to themselves.

I’ve also brought it into boardrooms — an international governance association, a sustainability network, and a therapy charity I’ve worked with for thirteen years. I’m warm and I’m direct, and I think the two belong together.

The practical bit

What it costs.

£2,750

For the three months, paid up front. Or three monthly payments of £1,000, if that suits you better.

  • Your Future Self session, recorded, with the written account
  • Six 75-minute sessions, fortnightly, booked up front
  • WhatsApp messages and voice notes in between, answered personally
  • A Festival Pass to the Future Self Now community for our three months together
  • Travel costed separately, only when we both feel it’s worth it

The questions people often ask.

What if I don’t see anything in the visualisation?

Almost everyone does, but it arrives differently for each of us. Some people see a whole scene; others get a feeling, or a single sentence. The pictures were never the point. What matters is how your Future Self feels, and aligning with that.

Is this therapy?

No. Therapy often works backwards through what’s happened to you; this works forwards from who you already are. The two sit well together, and several of my clients do both. If therapy is what you need, I’ll tell you.

I’m quite analytical. Will it work?

It often works especially well, which surprises people. Rather than arguing with the analytical mind, it goes beneath it. And scepticism isn’t resistance. It just means you’ll know the difference between a feeling and a fantasy, which is exactly what you want.

What’s the difference from the membership?

The membership is the practice, shared with other people, and it’s wonderful. One-to-one is me, focused on your particular situation, with nobody else in the room. Many people love the membership and never need this. Some find they want both.

What if I have to stop?

Then we stop. Life happens, and I’d much rather you came back when the time is right than sat through sessions you don’t feel ready for. We’ll sort the money out fairly, with no awkwardness.

Can my company pay?

Often, yes. Many organisations pay for this work as executive coaching or leadership development, and I’ll give your finance team whatever they need. Whatever we talk about, though, is completely confidential and stays between us.

Teams and organisations

Or bring it to your people.

I bring Future Self Now to leadership teams, founding groups, boards and away-days — as a single session or over a longer stretch. Everyone meets their own Future Self, and then the organisation meets its own. It’s quite something to witness — and people are noticeably more aligned with each other and the organisation afterwards.

I also love speaking about future memories, self-sourcing, how being ‘selfish’ can be an act of generosity, and why people so often cry when they meet themselves.

Theresa speaking to a room, arms open
“Most of our board members are pretty analytical types so I wondered how this process would work. However I can gladly report that everyone found immense value… the vision that we have created is already permeating all our work.”
